Macon East Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Upper School Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, demonstrate strong instructional skills, and support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned
- Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and staff to support school initiatives
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education or related subject field
- Valid Alabama teaching certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to academic excellence and character development
