Position Overview
Southern Academy seeks a visionary Headmaster to provide strategic leadership and oversee all aspects of school operations. The Headmaster will champion the school’s mission, support faculty and staff, strengthen enrollment growth, and foster a positive culture for students and families. The ideal candidate is an experienced educational leader who demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and relational skills.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide academic and operational leadership aligned with the mission of Southern Academy
– Partner with the Board of Trustees to implement strategic goals and ensure long-term sustainability
– Lead and support faculty and staff through coaching, evaluation, and professional development
– Oversee curriculum, student life, and academic programs to maintain high standards of excellence
– Promote a safe, nurturing, and disciplined school environment
– Strengthen community relationships and represent Southern Academy at school and local events
– Support enrollment initiatives and family engagement
– Oversee budgeting, resource stewardship, and campus operations in collaboration with the Board
Qualifications
– Demonstrated leadership experience in education or school administration
– Strong alignment with Christian values and the mission of Southern Academy
– Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
– Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, parents, and community stakeholders
– Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Educational Leadership or related field preferred
