Elementary School Teacher

Sparta Academy is seeking a passionate, student-focused Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that promotes academic achievement, character development, and Christian values. We are looking for an educator who is committed to helping students grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans.
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Foster a love of learning while encouraging students to reach their full potential.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and staff to support school initiatives and student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field preferred.
• Valid Alabama teaching certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
