Upper School Science Teacher

We are seeking a talented and engaging Upper School Science teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about science and values working closely with upper school students.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of Upper School history courses within a college preparatory curriculum
  • Design and deliver instruction that encourages inquiry, analysis, and problem solving
  • Foster a classroom environment built on respect, curiosity, and active engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and alignment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress
  • Serve as an advisor and support students beyond the classroom
  • Participate in the broader life of the school, including meetings, events, and professional growth

Qualifications:

  • A personal faith in Jesus Christ that is evident in both professional practice and daily life
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in the discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written
  • A deep understanding of and appreciation for working with adolescent learners
  • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to a team environment
  • Interest and ability to contribute to our athletics and extracurricular programs is an additional consideration
